CAN YOU BELIEVE I SAID NO... NO... NO
Dolphins are believed by many in spiritual communities to be of a higher level of consciousness than humans (scientists, of course, are trained to not believe in anything, so believe or not - the choice is yours).
DOLPHIN BRAINS The brain of a bottlenose dolphin is about 20% larger than a human's by mass and weight.
They have more folds within the neocortex of the brain to process complex thinking & problem solving.
And they have a paralimbic lobe that is much more developed than humans. "Dolphins possess an entire paralimbic lobe — a structure humans don’t have — devoted to emotion, empathy, and social connection.
They also carry Von Economo neurons — the “empathy cells” once thought unique to humans, great apes, elephants, and whales.
Because their paralimbic lobe is so hypertrophied (large, developed), studies suggest dolphins may actually carry
more functional empathy circuitry than us.
They are wired for deep compassion."

Just imagine what all they can teach us!!!
Last Fall, after returning from Bimini and discovering the dolphin connection in Panama City Beach (it had been there the whole time, i just couldn't see it prior to the consciousness shift I underwent on the retreat)...
In meditation, I was told...
"Get a boat and spend as much time with us (the dolphins) as possible...
the rest will be revealed."
If I hadn't gone on that retreat, I would have never discovered
what was right HERE, waiting for me.
That's the kind of consciousness shift I'm talking about - seeing your current situation in a different way... one that serves you elegantly.
It's YOU connecting with the version of YOU who has the answers, who remembers who you ARE (beyond the everyday stresses, the distractions, and the looping).
It's the YOU WHO IS NOT AFRAID.
The easiest thing is to say No...
It can be pretty scary navigating our lives in "the dark."
We're not equipped with echolocation sonar to see in the dark like dolphins are.
Most of us can't tell the future. When navigating unknown territory, our nervous systems' instinctive response is No. No is regarded as keeping us safe. That's the primary job of the nervous system.
And it's a very important response to recognize. But it also keeps us stuck.
Small.
Not living up to our full potential.
And often it keeps us.... lonely, disempowered & freaking miserable.
HOW TO BREAK THROUGH TO THE YES I always tell people to listen to their gut. But honestly sometimes it takes
more than listening to your gut.
Sometimes it takes a persistent friend, a LOT of signs, and a BIG leap of faith. The nervous system does NOT like or approve of ANY leaps of faith!!!
It says No No No.... followed by a litany of negative potentials...
you'll wind up broke, in debt, disappointed, taken advantage of, you won't be able to keep up, changes don't really happen...
oh the stories it can come up it!!! Simply sigh and breathe... and thank it for doing it's job. HOW TO FIND YOUR YES... AND JUST DO IT! Even after winning the first retreat to Bimini and hearing precisely channeled messages for me... posted publicly... that I WAS SUPPOSED TO GO on that retreat...
can you believe a part of me was STILL saying no??? By this time, something was starting to shift. I was opening to the possibilities.
So I started with the first step, asking if I could find a dog sitter for those dates. That was a wonderful YES! Then I checked flights... and I discovered a whole new mode of travel to Bimini that I know will serve me well in the future.
Another resounding and aligned YES.
Then I did the math.
And what it would cost me to get there... vs what it would cost my spirit to sit here and say No... when all I REALLY wanted was to be there... was an expense too costly to bear.
We can always make money. But aligned opportunities don't show up every day.
To be invited by my friend to her amazing retreat, to win a free trip and give it away, to have everything lining up like a red carpet of Yesses... and to still have doubt, fear, and no's coming up inside of me... yep. That's how it went down.
So I prayed... PLEASE MAKE IT REALLY CLEAR.
Rebecca kept saying, "I really feel like you're supposed to come on the retreat."
By now, my No's were losing the battle...
It was safety, logic & feeling stuck... vs dolphins, friends & magic... PURE BLISS!!!
MY FRIEND HAD A DREAM
Then Sherri, my friend and roommate from last year's retreat messaged me that she had a dream that she was in Bimini swimming with the dolphins and me and Rebecca. Jamie was there too.
She said she knew it was a sign.
And even though she had been saying No all year... too much work, not enough time, can't make it happen... SHE BOOKED IT!!! And left the ball in my court.
Can I get a freaking YES yet???
Well... you know how it turned out... BETTER than I could have imagined!!!
And I am sooo grateful I had the courage & support to bust through the fear that says loves to say No for a million stupid reasons. I FINALLY SAID YES And I AM a different/better version of me after that retreat! Just AMAZING.
MY INTERNAL SHIFT
Have any of you EVER known me to be this transparent...
especially in emails??? NO... hahaha NEVER Thanks to all of the No's inside of me, coulpled with being a terribly shy introvert.
But now I see... WHY NOT?
So what if 30 people unsubscribe... it will make room for people who want what I offer. I'm done with playing small.
What I offer changes lives.
I want more dolphins and friends and great times in my life, so I'm putting it out there. When you've lost so much...
when the business & relationships you poured your heart & soul into
for six long, hard, expensive years gets shut down overnight,
and there's nothing you can do about it but go on...
you lose your money, your love & your mind... and your faith in yourself.
I had to close off my heart just to survive. I know every one of you reading this has suffered loss too....
loss of loved ones, of your dreams, of the feeling of connection...
losses in your health, your finances, and
maybe even the loss of any kind of a sense of certainty. And this is why I'm still writing... and putting myself out there..
like I'm on autopilot mission to do for others what was done for me. The dolphins, my friends, my family, God and some very special angels came to my rescue... AGAIN... and have filled me back up so that now I have much to give! Talking it out helps.
