THE MOMENT EVERYTHING CHANGED
I want to share something very personal with you.
When I was in college, I hit a crossroads.
I attended Birmingham-Southern College on a fine & performing arts scholarship for dance...
ballet had been my whole identity.
But, the environment became incredibly toxic.
Something I loved so dearly started breaking my hips, my ankle and my heart.
I didn't know who I was without it.
That's when the strangest miracle happened... dolphins started showing up.
In my dreams.
I was swimming with them... moving like them.
Underwater without fear.
In those moments, I felt something I had never experienced before.
PURE BLISS.
and Unconditional Love.
They didn't see success or failure...
They saw me.
The BLISS I felt with the dolphins was the most interesting thing I had encountered... it still is!
They kept showing up, week after week... until they had my full attention.
So I altered my path.
I learning everything I could about dolphins & whales.
The fascinating thing about this cetacean intervention was the location.
I was in Birmingham, Alabama, 250 miles from the nearest beach.
The dolphins were contacting me telepathically.
I gave back my scholarship and changed my major to photojournalism and ecology - something that would allow me to study dolphins in the wild.
I landed an internshp with the Dolphin Research Center in the Florida Keys.
I graduated with honors and then moved to Key West and worked on sailboats to gain the experience and sea time needed to get my captain's license.
My dream was to have my own boat and work with dolphins in the wild to learn their language.I wanted to know all I could discover about interspecies communication with dolphins and whales.
What happened next was not a part of "my" plan...
When I least expected it... I was almost there... I had my sea time, was studying for my captain's license... and my life turned upside down when I met someone.
I fell in love, ran away and got married and left the life I loved and my beloved Key West and the dolphins behind.
The funny thing is... lfe gives the test first and the answer later.
Just a few years later...
I was divorced, in debt, my spirit was broken, and my body was sick.
I moved back to Key West, humbled, broke, broken and desperate to put my life back together.
I started working with an amazing healer who helped me recover from my cancerous condition.
My new job was to study how our emotions affect our tissues.
I needed to understand the root cause of what happened... and how I could heal.
This experience set me on a new (unwanted) path to awaken my abilities as a healer.
Funny thing is... I had no idea at the time that I would ever "become a healer."
I resisted it for eons, wanted nothing to do with it.
So what does ANY of this have to do with the dolphins?
It was preparing me.
What they were going to introduce me to was
something I couldn't fathom yet.
The next chapter has a cool silver lining...
